Melle, this is awesome. Did you do this yourself or someone helped you? I like it. Congratulation...
Mel, this is so moving and very emotional for me. I like the song too. Looking back at the past, I think we are smarter and more confident of who we are right now.I have no regrets.Hooray for the class of 78!!!
Melle, thanks for the pictures. Very nostalgic!
I think one of my life's greatest blessings is the opportunity to have known Class '78!
Melle,
This is awesome!! Wonderfully created!!
Proud to be part of Class '78!!..Thanks for doing this task..Can I get a copy, please?
Hi again! I hope you enjoyed watching the video I created. It's been an interesting hobby. Windows Vista has made life so easy.
The song was sang by Aussie icon Delta Goodrem during the opening ceremony of the 2006 Commomwealth Games in Melbourne. It's one of my favorites.
A bit sad though I had to incorporate 5 years of memories into one song but the pictures show "the highlights" of our college years.
I remember losing my pin right after the Pinning Ceremony. I was so worried then my family had to stay behind and luckily my brother found it on the cathedral stairway.
During our Pinning Ceremony, we sang " Climb Every Mountain". I would suggest Geegee/Veron to use/add that music file for the souvenir DVD you are creating. Hope you don't mind, it's only a suggestion.
The East Coast mini-reunion at Flor's place is happening this Saturday. Hope you all have a good time and congratulations in advance, I heard it is going to be well- attended! Cheers and toast to the good life!
Cheers! That is a beautiful presentation of fond memories, proud to be part of those events :) the song is most appropriate. Yes, I do want a copy too if you can spare one. :)
Wow, Melle, good job! Pina-bilib mo ako. We're not just 3rd grade classmates and nursing classmates but we're classmates in videomaking too. Imagine that. This is a nice preview for the class video I created. I actually finished it a while back and yes the theme music is Climb Every Mountain. I'm afraid there is no other more appropriate song for our video but that. Not only is it a moving piece but it's the one we sang as a class. I don't want to give away too much because I want it to be a surprise for everybody. So, be patient my dear classmates. Btw, I need a head count of how many copies of it to burn. I welcome suggestions as to how to distribute it to the class. Yung mga missing in action, sorry na lang.
I've been trying to e-mail the video file but it doesn't get through. I think you may have to change the settings of your e-mail program or may have something to do with the e-mail server as well if it can accept over 20 MB files. Hotmail and Yahoo accounts only allow files of up to 10 MB sent or received. Don't worry I'll try to find an easy way to download it or maybe you can try downloading it from this site. Give it a go and let me know.
Guys, you can download this video right from this blogsite if you have RealPlayer in your PC. You can download RealPlayer for free if you want from its website. Once you have the application, what you need to do is hover your cursor over the video window itself until you see a message that pops up that says "Download this video." Click on it and follow the prompts. Hope this helps. Good luck!
Thanks Geegee for the technical suppport. We are so blessed to have computer experts in Class 78. I am excited to watch the souvenir video you promised. Don't burn them yet until you rhink it is all perfect. Some of us would still like to send photos. Is the deadline over?
You are right I can't download from e-mail that you sent. I will try Gigi's suggestion.
Sorry Gigi my computer can't download the blog. I'm so disappointed :-(
Thanks for the memories Melle. Wow! what a presentation. I am dyahi to share my video memories but your presentation and your sharing has encouraged me to share college years, which was really grand college years that, in a way, completely obliterated my high school. For our college was full of experiences, parties, outings and big lessons. I am grateful for the memories. Kaya, ladies sa ayaw ninyo at gusto, I will share my memories with all of you....
Cynthia - you need to install FlashPlayer or RealPlayer on your PC in order to download this video and play it. You can get RealPlayer for free from the RealPlayer website if you don't have it already. After you get RealPlayer installed, you can then proceed to download and save the video like I instructed you before and open the file using RealPlayer to watch it...same process goes for Flash Player. (I'll look into emailing this video to you)
Melle - your video is in Flash video format (.flv). If you can redo it in .mov or .avi format, a lot more people will be able to play it with Windows Media Player on their PC. Or you can attach the video to your email as a compressed zip file. Whatever works...
Our class video is finished. Any other pictures not yet submitted at this point can be put in the scrapbook that Veron is working on. Sorry, but adding more pictures to our video will mean re-syncing the narration and the length of the background music which is too messy. Unless I can see that the add-on is something we can't live without, I'm pretty happy with the video the way it is now.
I totally understand what you mean Geegee and I agree with you. Can we have a sneak preview? Everyone must be excited to have their own copy.
I'll try to redo my video in the format you suggested. Maybe send it in a compressed zip file which is much easier and maybe you can teach everyone how to open the zip file.
melle,
this is really moving
Melle, buti na lang kaibigan kita kasi lagi akong kasali sa mga pics mo, he!he!he!. On the serious note, Thank you for sharing memories of our past. Very touching background music. I love it. Great job!
Geegee, I converted the video to .avi file and e-mailed it attached it as compressed zip file but it turns out to be an even larger file. This time it's not only 19 MB but 39 MB. LOL
Sorry I confused you, Melle. I'll try to go step by step. What I meant was --- after you made the .avi file, right-click on it and choose Open with Windows Movie Maker (if you have it). When you're on MovieMaker, go to FILE menu then--- Save movie as- then choose where you want to store the file - then choose Video for local playback (it'll show you at the bottom how much memory it will be) then save. The final format will be .mov format. Now that I've confused you even more, try it...LOL
Melle - You know what, to make life easier for everybody, since I have your video saved on my PC at home (I'm at work right now), I'll see if I can upload it on my own Multiply website then everybody can download it from there. I'll do it when I get home,k?
Thanks Geegee, I got word from Cynthia Manongdo that she finally got my e-mail with the video file and it worked. Thank goodness!
But you can still do whatever to make life easy for everybody. Thanks again for your technical support.
Melle, I cannot help but cry every time I put the headset and watch your video presentation. The first time I view it, I cannot react for I was full of emotions. Every time I view it I cannot help but remember and cry. For it is my parents I feel with your video. Thank you for making me not to forget them.
Julie, I think many will agree with you,it is really an emotional and moving presentation.Tahan na at baka hindi mabuti yan sa puso mo. I know you miss your parents a lot especially your mother.
I am thinking of doing another presentation, maybe something funny naman para hindi ka na cry.
