Melle, that was wonderful, believe na ako sa iyo, very high tech....
thank you for the video......
It was an honor and privilege to be given a chance to spend a day with the Nightingale girls....was so much fun....

OH MY Gosh! Melle this is beautiful, I can't believe how well and fast you've done the pictures.Oddie's house was gorgeous and the pictures I took was from my small kodak camera that does not do justice to the place. She lives on top of the mountain where clouds meet the earth and her yard is so peaceful with fountains, flowers and pillars. You'll see what I mean when more pictures come out from other classmates. Every moment with my classmates was worth the 500 miles drive down from Sacramento to San Diego. :-) I am so excited to see everyone soon.

Hello California Girls! Melle you are doing pretty good with video making. These blog, photos, memories you all share are soothing to the daily grinds and not so daily grinds that suddenly pops up in life. After 30 years, I feel that it is worth all the cost and efforts. Nothing compares to bonds, friendship, a time in our lives (college and post) that we all share during our youth but more continues with it. Congratulations Ladies and Everybody!

Melle said...

Yes, Oddie's home is obviously a mansion, I thought I saw security people roaming around. Did you really travel that far Cynthia? Tell the others to e-mail me the photos so I can edit this video. I thought you were the only one who had a camera. LOL
Honestly, I had to zoom the photos, couldn't recognize the other classmates because their hair colour have changed like the autumn leaves. Can you tell me if I can recall correctly and name all who were there in the reunion = Mayet,Sonia, Cora, Telly, Pat, Cynthia, Oddie, Chato. Where are the rest? From our class contact list, there are about 20 of Class 78 residing in California. Sayang, they missed the fun! Nevermind, meron pa naman chance sa next reunion, who knows Oddie, we might just knock on your door on June 28th. LOL.... mas madami kami!

Veron Orpilla Benitez said...

Melle you did it again...you are really fantastic...

Oddie, I want to visit you someday and see what Cynthia is saying about your house..."where cloud meets the earth..." sounds very breathtaking....

I was trying to figure out two of our classmates in the picture...I did not recognize Telly...I thought first it was Joyce G. (no offense)...I did not know it was Sonya Gatdula the lady in black top.

I am very thrilled that we are doing this...mini reunions. I hope we can all meet someday in Texas and Chicago...

Great job ladies...

See you all next month...

Mildred said...

Wow, I am so happy for all of you!!! Mini reunions are the way to go if you can not attend the grand reunion due to busy schedules and conflicts.

Speaking of another mini reunion, I am going to meet Gee2 and Patti in Houston, Texas on June 15. Maybe we can post our pictures in the blog or better yet , give them to Melle for better high tech loading.

You all looked so great and very, very happy. I could not believe that you are all in your 50's. You, Sonia, you looked so young and beautiful. You must be enjoying your married life and your young children. I have not seen you for a long time, please participate in the blog and also the rest of the Californians, we want to hear from you guys.

Melle, I am so excited to get my boomerang, and you could add Lleyton Hewitt in your suitcase, he is the great tennis player from Australia, LOL.

Again, you Californians were so awesome and I recognized all of you. I also would like to see Oddie's breathtaking view. Maybe someday, right Oddie?

oddie said...

Hey, you guys are always welcome to come and visit me here in San Diego, anytime! My house is just a loan from God to share with everyone..even the animals kaya you can see the rabbits and squirrels + birds roaming around my garden..oops. forgot the snakes, insects, snails. I look at it this way, it is a material thing and this house will not be the measure of how I lived my life when I die. It is what I did with it. Maybe the next SLANF reunion will be in San Diego?
We will hold a big party here @ the house for the class with band music and dancing and drinking and eating and what have you...Pat and Melle, even golf for you...and visit the vineyard which is nearby for wine tasting...We will all have a blast if that happens! Or we can all have the 4 day cruise aboard the Royal Caribbean liner which departs from SAn Pedro, Ca and stopovers at San Diego, Catalina Island and Ensenada Mexico. Let's talk about this at Sarah's house, maybe we can all save money for 2 yrs then have the cruise?

Rachel said...

It looked like you all had a good time in San Diego.

I agree with Oddie we should plan our own reunion. Cruising is not a bad idea. Infact, Mahgene suggested something like this when we last met for the Mid-Atlantic reunion.

Melle,thanks for the video

Melle said...

I like that idea Oddie, I'm sure it will be an enjoyable journey, going on a cruise with old friends and partying every night with them WOW.... talagang awesome and fantastic! Maybe in 2 years time most if not all of our kids have finished their uni studies, kaya we just have to enjoy life to the max, easier to save up for the cruise.

Mildred, great to hear you are going to have your mini-reunion in Houston too. Have fun and e-mail your photos, i can easily make video clips because I have time and video making is my hobby so I enjoy creating them. Sorry can't bring Lleyton with me, Bec Cartright might miss her. LOL

Pat, i think I have to start practicing my swing, puede pala tayo mag golf diyan, ako taga retrieve ng golf balls. LOL

oddie said...

Hi Melle, thank you for adding the pictures that Telly sent

Telly, thanks for the pictures, glad that you made it to LA safely

Cynthia, was it Sonia you did not recognize and called her Rachel?
Did you see the backyard picture where you said, " the clouds meet the earth"? you forgot to continue with " and the earth meets the Mortgage lender!"

Rachel, as soon as Cynthia entered the house, she said, " Hi Rachel"
She had a hard time recognizing people, it was so funny....

Rachel said...

Cynthia,

So you do not get confused, this is how I look now

oddie said...

Cynthia, memorize Rachel's picture. There will be a " do you recognize this classmate contest?" on July 3...

Melle said...

Guys, it is indeed my pleasure doing this movie clips for the class. Nakakatuwa nga kasi I live so far away per I can always communicate with all of you.

I just learned that some of us are enjoying watching them, hindi lang sila nagcocomment sa blog because they cannot upload their comment.

For those who cannot easily post comments, I would suggest you check at the top of this window a message that your comment has been published before closing it. Sometimes even if you have written a comment, typed the characters you see in the picture (as described below) for word verification, plus your username and password, then clicked publish, it does not publish at all. So after doing all these steps you have to check the note that appears above which says that your comment has been saved or published ++++. If not, then you have to do the same steps over again. Sayang kasi if you have written something then it doesn't go through. This has happened to me before so I am extra careful in doing this procedure.

Oddie, your place is like a Retreat House in Tagaytay, it is so beautiful! Maybe that is why you're so blessed, you live so close to heaven. Also, am I right your husband's name is Carlos?

I will definitely go visit you someday. I have beautiful memories of San Diego and it is one of the best places I have seen and the lobsters there are so yummy...

So kanino bang boyfriends yung mga nag quoqourum sa picture?

BTW, are you all attending the reunion @ Sarah's? Have you guys been seeing each other before or after 30 years din?

I am now very excited to see everyone in person. Nakakamiss talaga.

Anonymous said...

Oddie, if there is a "do you recognize this classmate contest", I am definitely in!. I am planning to post my recent beach pictures when I read your post. And I intend to go to Sarah's house with a name tag! I like that contest! Go ako...

Melle said...

Julie, sure ka ba gusto mo sumali diyan? Baka madiscover namin ang level of dementia mo? LOL Remember when I was enumerating to you the names of our classmates last February, lahat ng banggitin ko sagot mo " Sino yun? Sino yun? LOL
Masaya talaga ito. It would be nice to be @ Sarah's early, para mawitness lahat ng funny moments.

Anonymous said...

Melle, Ako ang huhulaan. Hindi ako ang manghuhula. I am sure lagpak ako sa "name our classmates correctly" Kaya nga pati kuya ko wheh he came home he told me, oh Julie kilala mo pa ba ako? Hey friends baka maniwala kayo ha, may "lost" memories lang ako. Dementia...hmn...give me 10 years...LOL..

Anonymous said...

Melle, Oddie, Cynthia, Rachel this is so funny.

Melle said...

LOL

Mildred said...

During our San Pedro, California reunion, way back 2004, my husband and I were riding the elevator and MINDING our OWN BUSINESS. Suddenly, I heard a woman's voice and said,
Hello, Mildred and I hesitantly said, Hi!
What year did you graduate? I said.
And the voice said, Ka-klase mo ako Mildred, 1978 graduate.
I said, who are you?
The voice exclaimed, SARA PAREDES, ITO NAMAN!!!
OH, I WAS SO EMBARRASSED and we both laughed at the top of our voices.

So Cynthia, Julie and Amy Benavidez, don't feel bad. It happens to the best of us. The most important was the laughter that the experience brought to us, LOL..

30 years is a long time, we have been through a lot of years of ups and downs, triumphs and despair, successes and failures and sicknesses and health. What is important is now... the unity of the daughters of Nightingale and the future of our relationship as a class. I hope that the grand reunion is just the beginning of our continued friendship with one another. CHEERS FOR THE CLASS OF 1978!!!

oddie said...

let's play jeopardy July 3...w'll divide in groups topics will be: Teacher for 100, classmates for 200
class subjects for 300, hospital unit names for 400 etc. prize will be $100.00 for the winning group.
this is fun, we always do this during Christmas when the whole clan is at the house. it will take only 1 hr...what do you think? it will also test our memories...let's also play other games with the husbands, boyfriends, sons and daughters...I have 2 games for men that are so funny, siymepre may prize din... para enjoy din sila...I will bring the props..para naman di lang talk and eat tayo, nice to have an active and reactive reunion....

oddie said...

Melle, yes my husband's name is Carlos..the 2 guys in the picture are Noel in the middle ( marietta's husb and Dennis, cynhthia's husband) topic of conversation was: "How to keep the wives happy" just joking!!
Everyone, let's take Gingko Biloba before July, so we can remember who is who

Melle said...

OK, I hope the Gingko Biloba will kick in as soon as possible. LOL

Game na game na ako!

Anonymous said...

Thanks Mildred for the assuring words (tama ba iyong term). I don't feel bad. Ay naku, if you think matino ako noong college, image lang iyon. The truth eh, noon pa man magpahanggang ngayon buang pa rin ako. Lalo na kapag bilog ang buwan! LOL.

oddie said...

Finally, Ms Teta blogged...we all
waited for you..how are you?
Another name added to our blog site
Wonderful to be in touch with you..
see you in July...
Send Cynthia your picture, ngayon pa lang,so she will not call you "Rachel"....

Melle said...

TETA, welcome to our blog! I am so happy and thrilled you have taken that initiative.I hope the others will follow suit.

Can't believe in 3 weeks I will be flying to San Fo and be there walking arm-in arm-in-arm with my former college classmates and friends. ( just like the women in the movie "Sex and the City" LOL)

I just arrived from a 3- day trip to Melbourne and I did not have any access to the internet so our new blogmate is really a surprise. Teta, is your leave from June 27- 30 already official? Please let me know what you and Cynthia have decided on ok?

Veron, when do you arrive in San Fo? Any update on the Napa Valley Tour? Looks like you are so addicted to your Korean telenovela, you forgot about the blog already. LOL

How about Julie and Carmen? Any update from Gina Garcia- Soliongco? I hope by now her boss in St Luke's has given her permission to attend this reunion. Julie sino pa ba ang nandiyan na puede mong tawagan before you leave for the US?

Larcy, mag attend ka ng reunion. Nandiyan ka lang sa LA. Kung hindi, ikaw ang pupuntahan namin dyan. LOL

I also hope our classmates like Elena Ductama, Lolit Veras, Grace Chugsayan, etc., etc... are planning to attend, kasi KAMI yung mga mababait at timid sa class. (hmmmm mukhang maraming magproprotest!) I hope you will all be in the reunion at Sarah's.

Amy Jaramillo, I have tried calling you at home (many times na) but your number is always busy. Is your number in the spreadsheet correct?

Mildred said...

Teta, welcome to the club of bloggers!!! We really appreciated your input. We hope that this is just the beginning and that you will blog more in the future.

We urge all our classmates who read the blog to please put your comment, whether it is Tagalog, English, Ilocano, Visaya,Spanish etc. We need you, we don't want our communication to die down.

Our technology is the way of the future. Don't let this hinder you from blogging.THANKS GUYS, I HOPE I DID NOT OFFEND ANYONE, and if I did please forgive me.

Teta Venzon said...

talaga lang mahiyain ako.sabi nga ni melle......timid at mabait isa ako doon.
see you all at sara's place

oddie said...

Teta, di ko alam na shy shy ka pala! Wait...who are the other timid and mabait????

Mildred said...

Oddie, you are asking for the shy ones, of course it is very obvious..it would be me, Melle, Veron and Cynthia...he-he-he.

Melle said...

LOL

oddie said...

Melle said...

Hahahahahahha!

Melle said...

BTW, I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate Teta & Leo, and their daughter April who has recently completed BSN and has passed the NCLEX! Well done April I am sure your Mom & Dad are very proud of you just like Tita Melle!

oddie said...

Melle, I think error ang spelling ko, instead of "i" sa timid, dapat yata "a" yoon and instead of "b" sa mabait, dapat " p " yoon..di kasi ako spelling bee champ....LOL
Sometimes nga my "FYI" becomes "FY"na lang.......

Manongdo said...

Kailan ako naging timid or mabait? Parati akong nasa dean's office for many offenses beyond anybody's knowledge. The only reason I wasn't kicked out of school is because Dean Santos is my Auntie sa tuhod. LOL. Mildred you only know the nice half of me, I'm a gemini like Melle so I do have another side, only my seatmate Odie and twin sister Melle knows. ha..ha..ha..Si Teta naman talagang mabait, noong highschool pa lang kami, nakatira na siya sa Crame, ayaw sumama sa amin ni Joy and Abi Yumol para magbulakbol sa Cubao. :-)

Melle said...

Oddie, your Generation Y e-mail is so funny. I forwarded it to my nieces and nephews. Bakit nga ba ganoon sila magsuot ng pants? LOL can't stop laughing.

Yung tamad, No. 1 na ako doon.

Melle said...

oddie said...

Cynthia, alam mo ang nareremember ko sa iyo, quiet ka..pero ngayon noisy ka na...siguro mali ang memory ko sa iyo. si Teta, alam ko quiet siya but then most of our classmates were shy and quiet then except for a few.....
Melle, ikaw ang memory ko sa iyo, mahinhin, papikit-pikit lang ng mata....Si Mildred naman ang alam ko lagi naka tawa.. sa reunion we should describe each other according to how we remember the person in one word or one sentence.Like si Mahgene, I equate cooking sa kanya kasi when we were in college she already knew how to cook...Si Patti naman, singing and guitar, si Gee2 dancing..si Veron, I remember her as the one who asked questions frequently in class. Si Mayette, her laughter...

Manongdo said...

Don't worry I'm not offended by the conversation in the blog, I love you all too much to take you seriously. But Be careful of the quiet ones, they are usually the .... LOL..

Melle said...

You are right don't take us seriously. We all shouldn't take things written here very seriously. This is just a blog and we can say whatever and I think most of us have brilliant sense of humor. Kaya a very sensitive person might just stop communicating with us if she feels uneasy with what we talk about. But every person is entitled to her own opinion just as every person is entitled to her own funeral! LOL But we are just having fun with friends we have known in our teens. Life is short so enjoy every minute of what we have left. At 50 plus, we just have to count all our blessings and forget the grief.

Maybe you can teach me when I am there, it's never too late LOL. Pero I cannot believe that Teta doesn't like making bulakbol. Pictures can tell. I can make a video clip on places we travelled in Mindoro, Palawan, Batangas, Baguio City, game na game yan si Teta basta lakwatsa. Maybe she was too young in high school to travel far but in college and post grad we enjoyed our friendship to the max after all pare pareho ata kaming may nunal sa talampakan. We all worked in St. Luke's after rural training and even if our salary was merely P600 a month we were happy because we always looked forward to our next weekend off so we could hang out together. Life was so simple then but it was good.

Oddie, ang address ko noon sa UP Village was Mahinhin Street so kaya siguro ako mahinhin at papikit pikit ang mata. Baka nag beaubeautiful eyes, hehehe trying hard to be pretty! LOL

Thanks for the info on the attire at the dinner dance. The black pants with nice top is a good idea.

Melle, ngayon ko lang uli (as in NOW) nabasa ang post! And I did it! Finally! At si Mayet bungisngis na noon pa, Sarah is behaved and quiet, Veron has pretty smiles and wide compassion to patients (more than me) Eloys is intelligent, Mahgene is pretty and shares her sandwiches with me. Tama ba ako dito girls, wala ba akong nakaligtaan. Looking forward to seeing you all of you....At masarap pa rin ang Magnolia ice cream sa Baguio!

Anonymous said...

P.S. I called Faith and her schedules are not definitive yet. I called Gina and told her about our homecoming. I went to see Virma Potenciano, pinuntahan ko siya ospital for it was perfect timing as we have to visit a patient confined at VPMC Hospital in Mandaluyong as she is running their hospital and she put up a nursing school and teaches. She will be going to Europe on the days of our reunion. I tried Pinky Ligon's number listed but no answer. LOL...

Melle said...

Thank you Julie for taking time to call everyone. That's very nice and kind of you. Congratulations you seem to be very happy about learning how to post pics in the blog. Posting video clips is almost similar except that you have to create them first before uploading and publishing, maybe we can have a few tutorials in San Francisco, I told Cecile I will teach her how to blog.

Anonymous said...

Yap Melle, hapi talaga ako nakapag-post ako ng bagong pics! So easy pala with digicam.

Melle said...

What do you mean nagdagdag ng airfare ang NWA? Didn't you buy your ticket before the price hike?

So you finally got yourself a new digicam? That's good. I am sure you will enjoy taking photos in the US. Learn to upload the photos taken in a day in your computer. Read your camera manual and try it now especially while it is on warranty. Take lots of photos.LOL Have fun...

Alam mo naman ako heart foundation. As Ate told me don't ask how much or how many just accept. Kaya I do not ask them, baka bigla akong singilin eh. Pati Orbitz nagtaas na rin. Mahal ang gasolina dito ngayon. Lahat tinaas nila. They are taking advantage of the price hike or hijacks.

Veron Orpilla Benitez said...

Deal Classmates,

I suggest we use a different name on our name tag. Ahhggg..Ang galing naman ng memory mo Oddie, hindi muna kailangan ng Ginko Biloba dahil remember mupa ang mga kilos at ugali natin during college years...Ngayon lang nag surface ulit ang memory ko about my "millions of questions" during college years...What an irritating "Smart A.." (learned from psych patients...) to everyone at that time.
What I rememered about you is that you were always worried about your skin complexion...besides being the smartest in our class...I did not remember you being our classmate during our first and second year?...maybe because you have a group of your own then...
But you remember about our Zoology class...Nasaan ako nuon?

Melle, you are really sooooo funny...I remember you in college, dahil petite ka nuon, I have you in my mind as a "little girl" and you were always giggling. You have plenty of jokes to tell us...Hindi bagay sa iyo ang gown ko dahil mukhang pang matanda...kaya mag pantalon nalang ikaw.

What brand did you get?

Ayy naku...mahirap palang mag catch up sa mga usapan ninyo...
It took me two hours to think and type...Naka pause ng matagal ang TV ko.

Talk to you soon...

Veron

Everyone, alam niyo habang naggagarden ako kanina, I was thinking about how stressful it will be mag hanap then mag fit ng gowns...so I said to myself, what if I suggest to you guys na ang class '78 mag wear na lang lahat ng black pants and formal wear top? Sometimes kasi pag naka pants ang isa, she feels out of place sa mga iba na nakabonggang gown..if we are all in the same matching black pants, at least walang ma feel out of place....What do you think? suggestion lang naman...

oops, sorry, double ang posting...jumpy fingers kasi...and hilong talilong mental faculties na!

Melle said...

OK sa akin yan suggestion mo Oddie. I am taking with me a nice dress which I already have but will also bring black pants with a matching top. Naisip ko kasi I will be there by June 26 and with 9days still to go before the dinner dance there is a big chance I will put on weight kaya baka hindi na magkasya ang dress kaya pants na talaga. Dyan pa american size lahat ng servings! I can't wait to taste again the California Bing cherries. I hope it is in season already.

Iniisip ko din magwalking exercise Veron, at the oval in my area, pero winter dito ngayon kaya mas masarap mag hibernate. LOL

Nasa news nga ang East Coast meron daw heat wave 40 degrees celsius. Madami din kami niyan dito pag summer with matching bush fire pa. Just stay indoor. I hope we don't get our share of the heat wave in San Francisco, pag-uwi ko na lang. LOL

Mildred, it is good you are expressing yourself by telling us na inaway ka ni Cynthia and Aby. Eh schoolmates sila noon high school at baka magkabarkada pa saka territorio nila yun, ikaw dayo lang LOL I could just imagine how frightful it was, but there are 2 sides to a story. Bakit ka naman nila inaway?

Kamusta na kaya si Aby Yumul. I hope she will attend the homecoming. Last time I saw her was in 1981 in Toronto. She did not reply to the e-mail I sent her last February. Ninety five percent of those I e-mailed have replied. I grouped my classmate contacts and so far out of 45 I have 25 in my active list. That means they either send replies or forwards actively. Maybe after the reunion I will delete the names of those who do not participate in the blog and then just add them as they join in.

Mildred, ituloy mo pa ang how you remember our classmates. You have a good memory. Akala ko timid and shy ako at mabait, good Hawaiian dancer pala LOL

Enjoy your short trip to Houston and hope you have a good time with the nightingales there.

oddie said...

Mildred, that was good!!! pero what were you doing then that lagi kang inaaway???
Veron, kwento what happened to you while you were walking...nakita mo ba si Brad Pitt?
Melle, Bing cherries are in season now, baka maabutan mo pa...Rainier cherries mas juicy and sweet..I'll bring you some sa July pag in season pa ang Rainier cherries...
Sarah, anything that you need from SD for the party at your house? any type of food that is not available there pero meron dito ?? let me know, tawag ka lang........

PEACE NA KAMI NI CYNTHIA AND ARESNA AFTER FIRST YEAR, WE JUST LAUGHED ABOUT IT. KASI SAGOT DAW AKO NG SAGOT SA CLASE, I THINK THAT THEY DID NOT LIKE THAT, RIGHT CYNTHIA? WELL, THOSE WERE THE GOOD OLD DAYS, WE ARE MORE MATURED NAW, RIGHT? I DON'T EVEN KNOW IF CYNTHIA REMEMBERED IT, YOU KNOW HER, VERY FORGETFUL..LOL. DID YOU REMEMBER CYNTHIA?

Melle said...

OO nga Sarah, if there is anything you need for the party na wala diyan like kangaroo meat. Hmmm, tikman niyo naman kaya yun. How about wine, cheese? Mabuti na magsabi ka ngayon. Wag kang mahiya sa amin ok?

Ok yan Oddie, cherries' one of my favorites, kahit anong cherry wag lang cherry blossom. LOL Thanks Oddie.

Naku! Nakabili na ako ng long dress sa Cinderella, at sinabihan ko na si Carmen to bring a long dress, sale kasi and just cost me PHp 1,600.00 and laking mura tuwang-tuwa ako! Ok lang ba..for the first time bumili ako ng long dress hindi sa ukay-ukay but cinderella. Nakup pano na ito..

oddie said...

Julie, don't get too stressed out...you can wear your Cinderella dress, + your glass slippers..suggestion ko lang naman ang black pants..para lang huwag naman maistress ang iba...
Dress should be the last thing on our minds, I think we should be worried more if our classmates will not recognize each other ...maybe a question of impending Alzheimers or senile dementia? or just one of those brain malfunctions......

Melle said...

Ano ba yun, another party? Paano ba yan, hindi na tayo makakatakas. LOL

Anonymous said...

Melle, anong hospitality night? Sure lang na hindi hospital night ha! Sawa na ako sa hospital at hospital gown kaya excited ako sa nabili kong cinderella dress at Php 1,600.00, I am sure mas mura pa ito sa monthly sms load mo Melle..LOL

Hey Oddie, Veron and everyone. This is what is written in the reunion website

http://www.slanfusa.com/3/miscellaneous10.htm

All events registration fee includes the following:

7/4 - Hospitality Night sit-down
Dinner
7/5 - Continental Breakfast
7/5 - 4 CEUs
7/5 - Gala Night Dinner Dance

Are we going to attend 7/4 ot 7/5?

oddie said...

Hospitality Night is when the class will be honored. It is like a dinner reception to welcome everyone. The attire usually is smart casual, less than semi formal, more like Sunday outfit.
I don't know whether everyone wants to attend it. Pero here is where they will ask us to stand at the front for Kodak moment. In the past, honoring the classes was done at the Gala Night. Now, they changed the honoring sa Hospitality Night. This is according to Fe Casher.Very appropriate talaga ang name niya sa position niya ano? Anyway, I think Dean Santos will be the speaker sa Hospitality Night.
Breakfast naman is casual moment, we can all skip breakfast and go somewhere or we can all eat breakfast first then leave before the CEUs class starts...

Mildred said...

MY SUGGESTION FOR YOU GUYS, IS TO ATTEND THE HOSPITALITY NIGHT .WE NEED TO SHOW THAT CLASS '78 HAS THE SPIRIT OF COOPERATION AND TO SHOW RESPECT TO DEAN SANTOS.YOU CAN ALL EAT BREAKFAST AND THEN LEAVE BEFORE THE CEU STARTS.THEN FINALLY , YOU SHOULD ATTEND THE GALA NIGHT FOR ALL OF YOU TO ENJOY AND TAKE A LOT OF PICTURES TO BE POSTED IN OUR BLOG.THE REGISTRATION IS SO EXPENSIVE, YOU HAVE TO MAKE THE MOST OF IT.LOL...

oddie said...

Mildred, kantahan ko na lang kaya si Dean ng " R-E-S-P-E-C-T FIND OUT WHAT YOU MEAN TO ME" LOL

Mildred said...

THAT WAS GOOD ODDIE, MAYBE YOU CAN LEAD AND CONDUCT THE CLASS!!!LOL...

Melle said...

Mabuti na mention mo yan I almost forgot about my travel insurance. I have to get one before I leave.

Oddie & Mildred, thanks for the info on what this hospitality night is all about. We will be coming from an outing on the 4rth so it is going to be a long day.

Oddie, hindi ba si Fe Sabaot ang Fe Casher? LOL. parang e-mail address niya ang Fe Casher...

It would ne nice to meet our big sis and small sis too. OK din ang hospitality night kasi we can easily check if they are there since we are grouped accdg to class.

oddie said...

Melle, yes she signs her name as Fe Sabaot-Casher...hyphenated yata, do you know her? I think she is the noun version of Johnny Cash you know cash and casher, cousin of cashew..LOL..joke lang
Veron, tuloy ba tayo sa Napa on the 4th?
Did we have big sis and small sis? could not remember anything like that! another thing, do we have a classmate named Marlyn? Sarah mentioned her name and I don't know who she is. I think I am having brain cells depletion now...who is Beth Eva? I know Beth Balmes but could not remember Beth Eva...does she look like Josie Tancioco?

Mildred said...

Oddie, don't you remember Marilyn Quintana? She is short, quiet and brown in complexion. Beth Eva is skinny and cute. We did our rural service together in Siquihor island. She married one of the guys there in the island. The island is near Dumaguete, Negros Oriental. Please review our roster, their names are listed as our classmates.Tomorrow, I will give you a quiz, LOL...

Melle said...

Haha, yes Mildred I do remember Elizabeth Eva. She is shy, mabait and carries a cheerful face. Marilyn Quintana is the close friend of Carmen Roldan and Sarah Paredes. Cynthia said that she, Marilyn, Sarah and Carmen were barkada in college.

Madami talagang mabait sa class natin, si Elena Ductama, do you remember her? How about Jo Carelo? Madami tayong classmates na very quiet. At madami din opposite, kaya imagine what they went through, napapasali sila sa gulo if their classmates get into trouble especially if the whole class gets involved. LOL Siguro ang saya saya nila after graduation! LOL

Oddie, I do not know Fe Casher pero alam ko madami siyang cash kasi siya ang cashier. Hehehe.

Veron Orpilla Benitez said...

Hi guys...medyo pagod lang ako at nag-aantok...I read all your stories. Sorry guys...We could not come up with 23 people to join us (23) in order to get that price. I am very willing to drive up therefor those who would like to see the Valley. I will still inquire and check the internet for a cheaper price and less number of people. I will let you know.

Oddie, can you contact Fe or Carol Echalico for me? They are not responding to my email. Can you ask any one of them if they require each class a special number? and if so, we would like to present the DVD that Gee2 created specially for our class. Please let me know...TY.

Oddie you reminded me when you mentioned about gardening, last month I was weeding my front yard and I snapped out my L2 and L3...I had severe imflamation of my skeletal muscle on my lower back...I could not squat for days...imagine how I went to pee and poo...so just be careful ladies...that is why I started Yoga. I have to stretch and relax my muscles.

Melle said...

Sorry to hear about your injury Veron, hope you are much better now.

Melle said...

Hi again. I am reviewing the names of our classmates that teta e-mailed us, eto pa ang mga tahimik:

1. Florence Elvena
2. Pia Fernandez

Saan na kaya si Florence at Pia? Do you recall them?

Veron Orpilla Benitez said...

Melle, OK na ako...I went for a week of rest and therapy. Pwede na akong mag garden ulit...Yoga is really helping me alot. The exercises are really helping my muscles and our instructor is teaching us how to relax and breath properly while we are stretching.

oddie said...

Melle, who is Florence Elvena? the name sounds familiar pero I could not put a face to the name. Does she look like J. Carelo?
Here I go again, di ko na alam ang names ng classmates...I remember Marilyn Quintana now, but for the life of me, I don't remember Beth Eva..She must be one of the quiet and shy classmates. It is just so sad to say na yoong iba nating classmates I did not have a chance to know or make kausap man lang...sabi nga ni Mayette noong reunion, noong college ni hindi raw niya nakausap si Joyce. Kami naman ni Telly Delovino, naguusap kami minsan and we said that we never spoke to each other noong college...pero we became very close after, until now.

Melle said...

Florence Elvena is one of the quiet classmates pero mabait din siya and she always wears a smile on her face.

It is something I have not done yet, ok yan talaga!

Melle said...

Last night I tried to call our classmates in the US at random and I picked Lolita Veras Santosunfortunately was not able to talk to her. I was told she is now on holidays in the Philippines and will return by end of June. I asked if she was attending the reunion in San Francisco. The lady on the other end said she doesn't know. I hope our other classmates in Florida can join us. Nasaan kaya si Dedel, how come she does not blog anymore? She is in FLorida right?
