The St. Luke's Daughters of Nightingale 1978 is a weblog for the 1978 graduates of St. Luke's - Trinity College of Nursing in Quezon City, Philippines. It is a forum to post messages, thoughts and photos. It has been 30 years since we said our goodbyes and stepped out of the Cathedral doors, strong in our ideals and ready to take on the poor in health and poor in spirit as Florence Nightingale did more than a century ago. It's been 30 years too long. We have some catching up to do!

The next biannual St. Luke's - Trinity College of Nursing reunion is scheduled for July 4th weekend in Foster City, California. Class of 1978 celebrates 30 years. Check out the St. Luke's Alumni Nursing Foundation website for details: http://www.slanfusa.org/

This video clip is lovingly dedicated to all the 27 Class 78 golden girls who took time off from their busy lives to be one with us at Foster City from July 3-6, 2008 thus making this event a huge success.
I would like to thank the organizers of this reunion, for initiating and making the right moves in finding each one of us.
To Veron, for keeping us informed on the SLNAF Foster City reunion, to Rachel, Ruth and Mildred for taking time to call everyone and setting up a class 78 roster which I now find very useful.
To Leo & Teta, for providing me accomodation during my entire stay in California and to Cecile and Chato for not making me sleep in the tub @ Crowne Plaza. LOL
To April for giving me an AT&T sim card which made me feel so secure and close to home.
Oddie, thank you so much for the Class 78 souvenir DVD copy that you gave me and all the other pasalubongs that you sent for me and Gary. Of course thanks to Caloy for sharing us the ride...from July 3 - July 6 dumami tuloy ang inaanak niya. It is nice to hear from him that we are not maingay naman pala. Swerte at mababait ang inampon niyo! Hahaha!
To Sarah & Fed for sharing with us their blessings and making us feel at home at their place. We obviously had great fun and how I wish the meeting at St.Cloud Drive had never ended. Meron ba talagang St. Cloud? LOL
The minutes of the meeting will be e-mailed out soon.
To Cora, Mayet, Telly, Chato,Amy J.,Veron, Julie, sorry to anyone I forgot to mention, pero thank you so much for all the goodies!
To Teta, Chato and Cecile again for the fun and laughter we shared in Room 309. It was awesome! All the pictures can tell!
If the fare is not that expensive, I would love to be at the reunion Mey Pena is organizing this August. You guys are so lucky you can see each more often so go for it whenever you can!

Hi Melle, you are very welcome....planning stage for 2010 is starting Aug 2 in LA...I will attend to present some hotels' prices. I want the hotel finalized early so we can have a ballpark figure on how much to save, the earlier the better! Ninong and I already talked to the DJ here to be ready for the event. He and his wife are our friends...

Never been holier Oddie! Being with Pope Benedict last week made me feel closer to heaven, at least for that moment!
Good to hear plans for 2010 San Diego reunion will be initializing soon. It will be an advantage to always get first hand info. Thanks for taking the time and effort. We should be getting more than 27 Class 78 attendees next time and more overseas delegates too!

Hey, kayong dalawa ha, balae kayo ng balae, pinakilala niyo na ba ang mga anak niyo sa isa't isa. Puede ba umpisahan niyo na at para naman meron tayong aabangan na susunod na kabanata.
Teta, you're welcome. I am organizing all my pics while I have the time now. I plan to put all the video clips together in a DVD para pag uwi ko sa Pilipinas ready for viewing na.

Balae, sa 2010 itutuloy natin ang "computer 101.5" Pero prior to that, mayroon " computer 101.25"

Balae, minsan minsan ko lang nakakausap, busy yata...pag weekend naman kanya kanyang lakad, nagdidisappearing act...pagdating ko from work, wala pa, pag alis ko naman, tulog pa.....tayo na lang kaya ang magsulatan on their behalf...ano sa tingin mo? LOL
O sige, gumawa na kayong dalawa ng kontrata. Natatawa ako sa inyong dalawa talaga.
