The St. Luke's Daughters of Nightingale 1978 is a weblog for the 1978 graduates of St. Luke's - Trinity College of Nursing in Quezon City, Philippines. It is a forum to post messages, thoughts and photos. It has been 30 years since we said our goodbyes and stepped out of the Cathedral doors, strong in our ideals and ready to take on the poor in health and poor in spirit as Florence Nightingale did more than a century ago. It's been 30 years too long. We have some catching up to do!

The next biannual St. Luke's - Trinity College of Nursing reunion is scheduled for July 4th weekend in Foster City, California. Class of 1978 celebrates 30 years. Check out the St. Luke's Alumni Nursing Foundation website for details: http://www.slanfusa.org/

Hey, looks like you guys had a feast. CONGRATULATIONS! Ang sarap naman ng crabs, nakakainggit, parang puro aligue yan ah....at siguro ang tamis din ng corn. Mukha talagang you had a lot of fun. Nasaan ang pics na naka 2 piece... ehem... hindi shorts and shirt.... LOL
Mukha na ulit kayo kambal Cecile and Tess kasi pareho na color ng hair niyo.
Mildred, thanks for posting the slideshow.I'm sure you had fun time with your family at Myrtle Beach.
Mey, thanks a lot again for inviting Class 78 to your beautiful home. I hope to go and visit you someday in Maryland.
The Daughters of Nightingale who attended the mini-reunion in Maryland were Mildred, Ruth, Mahgene, Tess, Cecile,Chato,Lele and our wonderful Mey who worked so hard to make this reunion possible.As usual, we were very loud and crazy and the never ending food for 2 days made us all gain few pounds or more, but we did not mind it at all.Thanks Mey and family for your wonderful hospitality.
For those who could not come like Veron, Amy, Susan,Carol, Sara C. Flor and Janette, you all missed the fun!!But it is ok, there will be another time someday.
Melle, did you notice the boomerang and key chain? The picture was the evidence that Cecile gave them to me. Thanks a lot!!
I will try to post the video of our reunion at Flor's house. It was so funny, it looked like we were all drunk, LOL.. Bye for now..
Yes Mildred. The boomerang was photogenic. I hope you can learn and enjoy to play with it, just follow the instructions. Maybe you can teach us in San Diego, I can bring some more.
It was good to see Ruth present at the reunion. Kahit may problem siya with coverage at work, she really did her best to be there. That is so sweet Ruth, I give you 10 stars for that! Of course to the rest, 10 stars din! Thank you for making this spirit of bonding and friendship alive in our hearts even though we are separated by distance. Let's make this mini-reunion a tradition as we journey on. Grab every bonding opportunity so that as we grow older we learn to know more about each other and learn to love each other like real family.

Mildred, you're very welcome too. It was a pleasure to have most of us get-together again. Like you said, hope there will be another time when we're all present. thanks for posting our pics, I hope everybody really had fun. Thanks for everybody who came, we all made it happen, me and my family were just the hosts, but it was a good team effort, together with the husbands who drove and tolerated the craziness, esp. in taking pics with each one's cameras.

Mildred, I have been busy working kaya I have not posted any comment yet re: your video/slideshow..Ang ganda!! Thanks for posting our pictures!! Magaling ka ng talaga!! Sa iyo nga pala ang next na get-together in 2009, maybe between June and Aug ulit, ano? What do you think? You still have many months to think about it..:):):)

Ruth, di bale, forgiven ka na for not bringing blue crabs sa Foster City...Sa 2010, pwede ba na aside from blue crabs, soft shellcrabs din???? isama mo na rin ang lobsters, scallops, oysters, clams and the Little Mermaid...LOL

Did you like your solo picture? You were eating sweet corn and I said to myself, "I need to take this shot" and so I did.Oh, we had such a ball those 2 days!!

I am just reminding you guys that the Psychiatric Center in our house is just nearby and I have a live-in Doctor so all of you should behave and be prim and proper, LOL..
Mildred, o sige, mag check-in muna kami sa Psych Center nearby your house, then, tutuloy kami sa house niyo.....like what time????? LOL
Oddie, pakisama mo naman ako sa pagbook niyo. I am going too, behaved naman tayo at always prim and proper. Let me know the date para makarequest ako ng vacation at makakuha ng mag cocover sa akin dito.
Mildred, kailangan mo na bang magpa-counsel sa live-in Psych doctor dahil sa stress ng pressure to have the next mini reunion sa iyo? Buti ka pa may doctor agad na available to prescribe the medicine to de-stress you...LOL...
There is no stress at all. You guys can come to my humble house anytime but preferably during the apple picking season so we can have a good time in the orchard.Our house is so small that we made the Psychiatric Hospital as our extension. I hope you don't mind that? We can also go to the historical mansions nearby and to the home of our former President Franklin Delano Roosevelt. Ruth, our house is far, it will take you 5-6 hours to get here.Hotels in the area are very expensive and it should be booked in advance, far advance!! Don't worry, just like Oddie, you can book in the Psychiatric ward which I highly recommend because of excellent service and approved by the American Psychiatric Association.
After my house then it is going to be your house, right Ruth?
Oddie, wag mo na ako isama sa booking, denied ang request ko for vacation. LOL
Melle we must have the same staffing coordinator, he also denied mine. may kasamang sermon pa. But I don't listen to them, so Mildred just say the time and date baka makapuslit ako or call in sick na lang. LoL. Sara and Lewang sama kayo na rin, call in sick narin.
O sige, samasama together kayo ha??? don't forget Psychiatric hospital ang check in natin! LOL
You are all so funny, that is the reason why you need to be evaluated for any mental ailments, LOL...
Mga menopausal (men-oppose-al) moments yan...Hormonal imbalance:):):):)..Sometimes manic, other times depressed..Kailangan talaga ng meds to balance..Magpa-appointment na tayo sa Psych doctor--first come first serve ba, Mildred? Ano ba ang wait list time? LOL...
